Renewal of School District Expiring Capital Project Levy Authorization
The board of Independent School District No. 11 (Anoka-Hennepin Public Schools), Minnesota has proposed to renew its expiring capital project levy authorization in the amount of 1.55% times the net tax capacity of the School District to provide funds for the purchase, installation, support and maintenance of software and technology for school instruction. The proposed tax rate is not being increased from the previous year's rate. The proposed renewal of the expiring capital project levy authorization will raise approximately $4,426,491 for taxes first levied in 2021, payable in 2022, and would be authorized for ten (10) years. The estimated total cost of the projects to be funded over that time period is approximately $44,264,911. Shall the renewal of the expiring capital project levy authorization to fund technology proposed by the board of Independent School District No. 11 (Anoka-Hennepin Public Schools), Minnesota be approved?
