The school board of Independent School District No. 1 (Aitkin Public Schools) has proposed certain projects for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including without limitation the acquisition of land for and construction of a new school for grades 5-12; the relocation of athletic fields to the new school site; renovations, remodeling, and additions to Rippleside Elementary; and the demolition or sale of the existing high school facility. To provide funds for the project costs, the school board has proposed to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $68,500,000.00. The project has received a positive review and comment from the Commissioner of Education. Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 1 (Aitkin Public Schools) be authorized to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $68,500,000.00 to provide funds for the acquisition of land for and construction of a new school for grades 5-12; the relocation of athletic fields to the new school site; renovations, remodeling, and additions to Rippleside Elementary; and the demolition or sale of the existing high school facility? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.

Shall the School Board of Independent School District No. 51 (Foley), Minnesota, be authorized to issue general obligation bonds, in an amount not to exceed $495,000, to finance the acquisition and betterment of school facilities?

The City of Barnum currently owns and operates a municipal liquor store. Shall the City Council be allowed to issue private on-sale licenses for the sale of intoxicating liquor to hotels and restaurants, as well as to clubs?

Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 146 (Barnesville Public Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $35,190,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the completion of deferred maintenance projects at and the repair, remodeling, upgrading, equipping and construction of improvements to the existing Atkinson Elementary School and Barnesville High School sites and facilities? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
