Approval of School District Bond Issue
Shall the school board of Independent School District No.2897 (Redwood Area Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $47,525,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of a new Pre-K-4 elementary school and child care center; the decommissioning of the existing Reede Gray Elementary School site; the construction of secure entrances and safety improvements at the Middle School/High School; and the completion of various deferred maintenance projects at school sites and facilities? If School District Question 1 is approved, shall the school board of Independent School District No. 2897 (Redwood Area Schools) also be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,910,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including outdoor multi-purpose activity enhancements? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
